Inland Waterways Association (IWA) The British organisation, founded in 1946, which campaigns to conserve and restore the British waterways system. ACS is linked directly to these parts of IWA:

Inland Waterways International (IWI) International organisation linking people with waterways interests worldwide. |

Birmingham Canal Navigations Society (BCNS) Interested in the extensive network of canals, both navigable and unnavigable, in and around Birmingham. |

Cotswold Canals Trust Working to restore the waterways connecting the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, near Stroud and the River Severn, with the limit of the currently navigable Thames at Lechlade. These waterways were the Stroudwater Navigation, and the Thames and Severn Canal. |

Lancaster Canal Trust Supporting the canal which runs from Preston through Lancaster to Tewitfield where it is disconnected by the M6 motorway. They also support campaign for the re-opening of the disconnected portion of the Canal which runs as far as Kendall at the edge of the Lakes District. |

Foxton Inclined Plane Trust Working to restore the Foxton Inclined Plane. The Foxton flight of ten narrow locks consists of two five-lock staircases. These formed a bottleneck on the Grand Union Canal, Leicester line. The Foxton Inclined Plane bypassed these locks. It operated only from 1900 until 1912. |

American Canal Society This Society was formed in 1972 to support the use of the many American canals and waterways. |

Sydney Heritage Fleet Maintains a fleet of historic boats on Sydney Harbour. These include the 1874 barque, James Craig, Australia's oldest remaining ship; the 1902 steam tug Waratah, and Lady Hopetoun, the 1902 VIP steam-powered yacht. |
